The new learning management system Learning.ATSSA.com helps employees and employers: Quickly find required courses Gain rapid access to training certificates. Track Continuing Education Units CEUs. Track their certification process. Navigate a personal dashboard. “This streamlined system provides the training tools workers need to take their career to the next level,” said ATSSA Director of Training & Education Clark Thomas. “We designed this online system so it’s easy and quick to find what you need and gain the skills required to get to work.” The new training platform enables users to register quickly, review their progress and print certificates of completion to deliver to their employers. Plus, managers can quickly monitor employees’ completed and pending training, offering them instant insights into the training status of everyone on their team. A video with step-by-step instructions is available to help people navigate the new training platform. The new learning management system includes the expertise of ATSSA instructors ensuring individuals and companies receive high-quality training and valuable insights as changes in the field occur, such as the release of the updated Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices MUTCD. “This new platform is part of a broader investment in providing the exceptional training that is a cornerstone of ATSSA’s history,” said ATSSA Vice President of Education & Technical Services Donna Clark. While developing the training platform, ATSSA also updated and enhanced all of its online training courses, giving special attention to Flagger courses. In the coming year, additional training updates and enhancements will be announced to further develop the expertise of workers in the roadway safety infrastructure industry. “ATSSA’s new learning management system provides a critical tool for building a safety culture in the workplace,” Donna Clark said. “We encourage everyone to explore it and get signed up for the training needed to safely work on our nation’s roadways.”
ATSSA Worker Protection Toolkit now available
ATSSA now offers a Worker Protection Toolkit that will help the industry prevent roadway worker injuries and be equipped to respond in case of an injury or death. “The overarching goal is to protect the lives of roadway workers,” said ATSSA Vice President of Member Services Donna Clark. “That is why this toolkit was designed to provide assistance in properly training workers. We recognize, however, that tragedies can occur so we also provide a roadmap for employers in case the worst happens.” The Worker Protection Toolkit is the result of efforts by the Roadway Worker Protection Council. The RWP Council grew out of a Roadway Worker Protection Summit held during ATSSA’s 2021 Convention & Traffic Expo.
