Kick off Midyear at the General Session

David Kearby,Executive Director at TRIPATSSA’s 2024 Midyear Meeting officially kicked off with the General Session on Aug. 21, at 9 a.m. Attendees heard from ATSSA leadership, received a government relations update from ATSSA Vice President of Government Relations Cameron Greene and heard from TRIP Executive Director David Kearby, who will discuss his group’s latest report on “Addressing America’s Traffic Safety Crisis.”
Kearby also presented statistics from TRIP’s recent report on the traffic struggles on our nation’s roads.

Online registration through eShow is now closed. Midyear registration is complimentary for ATSSA committee and council members.

Pricing is as follows:

  • ATSSA Members and Friends of Committees/Councils – $50

  • Non-Members – Registration not available, Midyear is a member-only meeting
Housing Information

The discounted room block closed July 19. All committee and council meetings were held at the Louisville Marriott Downtown, 280 West Jefferson Street, Louisville, KY.

Public Agency Scholarships

Public agency and department of transportation (DOT) employees not on a committee/council may request comped registration by emailing volunteerservices@atssa.com. Committee and council members already receive complimentary registration.

Scholarships to offset travel and hotel costs for public agency officials were limited to 20 for the 2024 event. The application period closed May 2 and applicants were notified by May 17.

Increase brand presence at the Midyear Meeting

Exhibit space and sponsorship options were available for companies to increase their company brand presence during the Midyear Meeting at the Louisville Marriott Downtown. Only 26 tabletop exhibitor spots were made available and provided high visibility throughout the meeting, along with a variety of sponsorships. ATSS Foundation Fundraiser

Network, dine and enjoy an evening at Churchill Downs

During ATSSA’s Midyear Meeting and hosted by the Kentucky ATSSA Chapter, the ATSS Foundation fundraiser was held on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 6-10 p.m. at the Kentucky Derby Museum at historic Churchill Downs. Attendees experienced exhilarating museum exhibits, participated in the mock horse race experience, Kentucky Bourbon tasting option, dinner with local cuisine, received two drink tickets and participated in the best dressed/best hat competition! Transportation to and from the event was provided.

Tickets are $80 advance through July 15, $95 after July 15 during registration or onsite. The additional Bourbon Tasting Experience was sold out.
