Kathi Holst is still haunted by the deaths of two roadway workers at companies where she served as an executive. That’s why she’s passionate about the importance of a daily emphasis on worker safety.

ATSSA’s second Roadway Worker Protection Special Edition is now online. This year’s edition focuses on three areas:

  • Building a workplace safety culture
  • Insights on situational awareness
  • A teen driver education program that protects workers, teens and all motorists by teaching new drivers how to safely navigate work zones.

The Roadway Worker Protection Special Edition also includes a state-by-state breakdown of work zone crashes.

The Fall issue of Roadway Safety magazine is also online now and includes many features, including a look at a massive interstate project in Minnesota in which the state DOT and ATSSA members partnered to take multiple steps to protect workers and ease the frustrations of motorists.

The Fall issue also delves into the topic of artificial intelligence, celebrates a record-setting year for state advocacy, talks to Pennsylvania DOT Secretary Mike Carroll and tells the story of Alex Perez who is now a student at Indiana University, thanks to help from the Roadway Worker Memorial Scholarship Program.

Turn to Roadway Safety magazine for news and trends in the roadway safety infrastructure industry.
