Funds raised this year exceed the 2023 total

ATSS Foundation Vice Chair Peter Johnston of 3M checks the status of fundraising through the Toward Zero Deaths Pledge Wall on Feb. 6 during ATSSA’s Convention & Traffic Expo in San Diego. 3M sponsored the pledge wall.

This year’s Toward Zero Deaths Pledge Wall sponsored by 3M raised $15,813 for the ATSS Foundation, surpassing last year’s total.

“3M is committed to the Foundation’s mission to promote roadway safety through charitable giving and public awareness programs,” said 3M Transportation Safety Sales Director Bill Flynn.  “We are thrilled with this year’s results and want to thank all those who donated to make the TZD Pledge Wall such a success.”

This was the eighth year 3M has sponsored the virtual wall fundraiser, which ran from the start of the year through the end of ATSSA’s 2024 Convention & Traffic Expo.

“3M’s unwavering support of the ATSS Foundation is greatly appreciated,” said Foundation Chair Kevin Shelton. “They have proven once again their commitment to the Foundation by hosting the Toward Zero Deaths Pledge Wall for the eighth year. As a leader in the traffic safety industry, 3M’s ongoing  sponsorship of this fundraiser helps us start the year well.”

3M launched this year’s event with an offer to match up to $5,000 in donations. The Foundation received $15,813 through the fundraiser, making a total of $25,813 including 3M’s $5,000 match and its $5,000 sponsorship of the Toward Zero Deaths Pledge Wall.

“We’re ecstatic that 3M chose to host the Toward Zero Deaths Pledge Wall again this year and that this year’s giving exceeded last year’s total,” said Foundation Director Lori Diaz. “We are thankful for every individual and company that donated and for 3M’s ongoing support.

“The donations received through the Toward Zero Deaths Pledge Wall help us continue the Foundation’s programs in support of roadway workers and their families and in raising awareness of the importance of work zone safety.”

The ATSS Foundation is the charitable arm of ATSSA and exists to promote roadway safety through charitable giving and public awareness programs.
