ATSSA advocacy makes impact year round

The Ohio ATSSA Chapter was among the chapters meeting with state legislators throughout the past year. The parents of a young man killed in a work zone crash joined Ohio ATSSA members to advocate for laws to better protect workers.

ATSSA members gather in Washington this month for the annual Legislative Briefing & Fly-In that takes advocacy to the federal level.

Throughout the year, ATSSA chapters hold advocacy days at statehouses across the country, working to advance a range of issues from work zone safety to contractor liability, transportation funding and teen driver education.

Six chapters held events in 2025, aided by ATSSA’s new State Advocacy Toolkit, which provides a road map for meeting with legislators.
