This course is intended for both public and private sector employees who are responsible for the installation, location and determination of appropriate roadway signing. It is focused on the fundamentals of traffic signing and the important role of the sign technician. Several Parts of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) are addressed, as well as temporary traffic control for short duration activities and basic sign installation techniques.

State-specific Traffic Sign Technician (TST) training is required in Louisiana.
