ATSSA’s 51st Annual Convention & Traffic Expo resumes on Tuesday. The second week of this two-week event includes two general sessions packed with industry panels and the ever-popular Circle of Innovation, which this year is open to all attendees.

Tuesday's general session will include a State of the Industry Panel, Industry Innovation Panel, State of the Association Report, and the presentation of the Industry Achievement and Mark of Excellence awards. The Trade Show booths open on Tuesday and will be open from noon to 5 p.m. daily. 

It’s not too late to register for everything this unique, online event has to offer.

Event kicks off with panel on work zone tragedy prevention and resources for when the worst happens

ATSSA kicks off its 51st Annual Convention & Traffic Expo with a Roadway Worker Protection Summit, going to the heart of the Association’s lifesaving mission.

The Summit features a panel discussion in which two ATSSA members share the painful experience of losing an employee in a work zone incident. They will discuss resources that helped the employee’s family and their team through the aftermath. They also will talk about tips and tools aimed at preventing work zone injuries and deaths such as training, certification and equipment.

This year’s virtual Convention will be different from typical online events. It provides ample opportunities for members to connect with industry experts and colleagues in fun and informative ways.

ATSSA’s 51st Annual Convention & Traffic Expo takes place Jan. 29-Feb. 2 and President & CEO Stacy Tetschner looks forward to making his first ATSSA convention an unforgettable event.

ATSSA is moving ahead with preparations for the 51st Annual Convention & Traffic Expo with the expectation that an in-person meeting will be possible in San Diego. People also have the option of registering for virtual attendance.

A decision will be made by Sept. 30 whether to hold the Convention as a fully virtual event.

ATSSA announces winners of five national awards

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (Jan. 25, 2020) – The American Traffic Safety Services Association is pleased to announce winners of the Industry Achievement Award, the National Safety Award, Foundation Champion Award, Mark of Excellence Award and National Media Award. The awards were given as part of the 50th Annual Convention & Expo, which runs from Jan. 24-28 in New Orleans. The winners were announced during this evening's 50th Anniversary Gala.
