This year’s theme is “A Year of Transitions” and lays out the many achievements that took place across the Association in a historic year. The report opens with a letter from President & CEO Stacy Tetschner who arrived at ATSSA just before the global pandemic forced staff to begin working from home. The Association kicked off 2020 with a 50th anniversary celebration at its Annual Convention & Traffic Expo held in New Orleans. There members said their farewells to President & CEO Roger Wentz who retired after 22 years. The report then chronicles the many ways ATSSA successfully reframed its work to meet members’ needs in an environment calling for social distancing. Staff developed virtual training, helped organize virtual chapter meetings and launched virtual Town Halls to bring together elected officials engaged in legislative efforts that impact the roadway safety infrastructure industry. The report also includes financial data plus a list of new members and statistics on the Customer Success Center, Chapter Meetings & Events, and social media engagement. The ATSS Foundation’s charitable outreach is highlighted, including a list of Roadway Worker Memorial Scholarship recipients and an update on the National Work Zone Memorial, which added 61 names in 2020. Reports from prior years are also available online.
