Chapter Officer Responsibilities

Having been elected as an officer in your chapter, there are some responsibilities that you and the other officers must be aware of in order to make your chapter strong and dynamic. This will also enable National ATSSA to assist you in accomplishing the chapter's goals. Listed below are the responsibilities that your chapter should meet:

The President of your chapter is to attend the Chapter Presidents' Council Meeting that is held bi-annually during the convention and midyear meetings. This will afford him or her the opportunity to network with other chapter presidents to find out what successes they have had and what pitfalls they have avoided. If he/she cannot be present then a proxy will be sent in his/her place.

Submit your chapter's goals and objectives in an annual report to National so that they may assist you in achieving them. A list of the current chapter officers, and/or Board of Directors (if applicable) should also be included. In your annual report, outline the successes that have occurred during the previous fiscal year. You will also submit an annual financial report that may be comprised from the chapter meeting Treasurer reports.

Develop a strategic focus for the chapter. This will serve as a constant reminder to your members of the direction that your chapter is striving to achieve. In order for ATSSA to serve the industry better, we need the commitment and involvement of everyone.
