ATSSA Chapter Treasurer

General Description
The chapter Treasurer shall keep an account of all moneys received and expended for the use of the chapter and shall make disbursements authorized by the chapter officers.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Duties of the treasurer include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Establish a chapter checking account and obtain appropriate signature cards and resolutions in appropriate institution per chapter policy.
  2. Maintain an accurate account of all money received and deposited in the name of ATSSA chapter by treasurer. The funds, books, and vouchers in his/her possession shall at all times be subject to verification and inspection by the members.
  3. Issue all checks for budgeted expenditures. Funds may be drawn only upon the signature of the chapter Treasurer.
  4. All sums received shall be deposited in the bank(s), or trust company, and a report shall be made at the annual meeting and sent to National and when called upon by the Chapter President.
  5. With the approval of the members, the chapter Treasurer may appoint one or more assistant Treasurers to perform such duties as the Treasurer may delegate to them.
  6. Assure that all expenditures are approved and verified prior to payment.
  7. Be prepared to give a report at each chapter meeting of money received, spent and the balance in treasury.
  8. Assure that annual report is submitted to the National office at the end of the fiscal year.
  9. Have the check book available at all meetings for disbursement as necessary.
  10. Deliver all accounting records in appropriate, balanced order to the incoming treasurer.
