ATSSA Chapter Secretary

General Description
It shall be the chapter Secretary's duty to give notice of and attend all meetings of the chapter and keep records of all proceedings to relay meeting dates, locations and times to the chapter services liaison, to attest documents and to perform such other duties that are usual for such an official or as may be duly assigned.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Duties of the secretary include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Record, publish and send minutes from all chapter and/or board meetings to chapter liaison in a timely fashion.
  2. Assure that the minutes from any prior meetings are available for review and approval at all chapter and/or board meetings.
  3. Have action item worksheet forms available for all chapter committees and taskforces. Assure that all are completed and returned. All minutes for the committees and taskforces are the responsibility of the secretary and should be delivered to the secretary prior to the chapter meeting following the taskforce/committee meeting.
  4. Coordinate minutes and agenda with President prior to meeting. Inform chapter liaison of next meeting scheduled as soon as it is scheduled.
  5. Deliver pertinent, real time Chapter information to chapter liaison to keep the chapter web page updated.
  6. Take care of chapter correspondence.
  7. Keep records of chapter: roll, minutes, programs, workplan, etc. Provide a copy of these to chapter liaison for file. Collect news articles, photos, etc., for Signal and website.
