ATSSA Chapter President-Elect

General Description
The President-Elect acts in the capacity of the President when the chapter President is unable to be present. The President-Elect also is delegated responsibility by the President at his/her discretion. If the chapter President cannot fulfill his/her term, the chapter President Elect shall fill the unexpired term. If both the chapter President and President Elect cannot fulfill the term of President, the members shall elect from among themselves, a person to fulfill the unexpired term of President.

Term
Two years - automatically proceeds into the President's position at the end of their term.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Duties of the President-Elect include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Learn the duties of the President.
  2. Be prepared to perform these duties on short notice.
  3. Attend all meetings that the President is unable to attend with his/her proxy as necessary.
  4. Prepare an operating budget for the upcoming chapter year.
  5. Call and conduct budget committee meetings as needed.
  6. Conduct a planning meeting for the upcoming year.
  7. Attend the Leadership Training Conference.
  8. Attend one Chapter Presidents' Council meeting a year.
  9. Attend all education programs if possible.
  10. Promote ATSSA membership.
