ATSSA Chapter President

General Description
The President is the chapter's chief operating officer and generally responsible for overseeing all chapter activities. The President is guided in his/her decision making process by the chapter officers and/or Board of Directors.

Term
Two years

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Duties of the President include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Preside at all board meetings and chapter meetings and report pertinent information to the membership.
  2. Prepare a detailed order of business or agenda for each chapter meeting two weeks prior to the meeting to be broadcast faxed to the membership by the chapter liaison.
  3. Establish and make appointments to committees as necessary.
  4. Oversee all chapter objectives, projects, and task force activities.
  5. Be familiar with the duties of other officers and all committees.
  6. Relay pertinent chapter information for website and broadcast faxes to the chapter liaison in a timely fashion.
  7. Coordinate all chapter activities to support ATSSA's mission.
  8. Encourage attendance to ATSSA legislative fly-in.
  9. Attend both Chapter Presidents Council meetings.
  10. Attend the leadership training conference.
  11. Form a committee to review and revise the chapter bylaws as needed.
  12. Develop and submit an annual chapter activity report to ATSSA chapter liaison.
  13. Ensure that an annual financial report is submitted to ATSSA chapter liaison.
