Work Zone Traffic Impact Analysis-Grant Course

DESCRIPTION

This course introduces participants to the concept of work zone impact analysis as a tool to improve the safety and mobility of highway work zones. It discusses impact analysis fundamentals, approaches, methodologies and the various tools available to conduct these analyses. Emphasis is given to the Transportation Operation (TO) component of Transportation Management Plans (TMP) and how these tools could be used to satisfy this requirement. Although the use of tools (or any specific tool) is not required, this course will give a unique insight to those considering analytical tools to conduct work zone impact analysis, whether at a local or regional level.
