ATSSA is pleased to announce that our members have been granted an US DOT exemption from regulation 49 CFR § 173.242(b), for the use of non-DOT specification cargo tanks in pavement marking equipment.
To safeguard your company's exposure to this regulation, a copy of the exemption letter (DOT-SP 12284.09) and the ATSSA Members' Special Permit Authorization must be on file in the office and the transport vehicle. Please note, that the Members' Special Permit Authorization is updated according to the US DOT availability.
