Top Ten Reasons for Becoming an ATSSA Flagging Instructor

As an ATSSA qualified flagging instructor, you will:

  1. Be using the state-of-the-art program developed by ATSSA with input from AASHTO who are concerned with traffic safety and flagging. ATSSA knows the industry because they are the industry. ATSSA is the country's leading resource on temporary traffic control. And ATSSA's traffic safety training programs are recognized across the country as the standard by which all others are judged.
  2. Be able to use this program as you see fit. Train your own personnel, or use this program to generate revenue. Who, where, and when you teach is up to you. And so is how much you do or don't charge.
  3. Receive the best possible training at affordable rates. Not only are ATSSA's master instructors well educated, but perhaps even more importantly, they have proven field experience. They are continually rated "exceptional" by students. And they will leave you with the knowledge, skills, tools and materials necessary for you to receive the same rating from your students.
  4. Have your business information listed to potential flaggers and organizations seeking training in your state and around the country.
  5. Be able to post free course announcements in the "Upcoming Courses By State" section of the Flagger Homepage.
  6. Have password access to up-to-date federal and state specifications and standards posted on the Internet.
  7. Have password access to training and marketing tips and techniques.
  8. Train flaggers who will have their names accessible to all agencies and organizations searching for a certified/registered flagger.
  9. Train flaggers who will be able to immediately prove registration even if they lose their card.
  10. Train flaggers who will have password access to: up-to-date federal and state specifications and standards; flagging tips and techniques; information on flagging equipment and gear.
