How to Join ATSSA

About the Flagging Instructor Training Course
Where
  1. As an open registration course in the conference room of a local hotel:
  2. As an open course in any facility that will hold up to 15 people and meets A/V requirements (TV/VCR, Overhead Projector, Chalkboard and/or flipchart). Facilities meeting these requirement will receive either $250 for two days use or will receive a complimentary registration (worth up to $525).
  3. For a closed group at a facility which holds up to 15 people and meets A/V requirements. This option offers incredible savings if you have 15 attendees.
When
The course lasts two full days. The course begins at 8:00 AM on the first day. The course ends by 5:00 PM on the second day.

Who
Class size is limited for up to 15 students who meet ATSSA's application requirements. ATSSA reserves the right to cancel courses if minimum class (usually 8) is not met. The term "Member" on the application refers to companies, agencies or individuals who are members of ATSSA or AASHTO. Anyone else is considered a non-member.

  1. An in-depth rehearsal of the flagger course with page-by-page review of the Instructor Guide.
  2. Program procedures.
  3. Techniques for teaching adult learners.
  4. Marketing tips.
Course materials include:
  1. A Flagging video on DVD
  2. The Flagger Handbook
  3. Flagger's Course Workbook
  4. Flagging Instructor's Guide
  5. Part VI of the MUTCD
  6. All necessary forms
How
Fill out the enclosed registration form and return it to ATSSA by mail, e-mail, or fax. ATSSA will send confirmation information. Closed course or sponsoring location information can be obtained by calling ATSSA at 540-368-1711.
