Mission:
The American Traffic Safety Services Foundation (The Foundation) exists to promote roadway safety through charitable giving and public awareness programs.

Vision:
Through activities of the Foundation, roadway safety has become a cultural priority. The public is aware of the need for roadway safety. Fallen workers are not forgotten and their families are supported. Decision-makers are motivated to invest in sustaining our message and advancing our mission. Improved safety on our roadways has resulted in a decline in work zone injuries and deaths.

Since its inception in 1988, the Foundation has been passionate about assisting others. The Foundation continues to lead the way to "Advancing Roadway Safety" through such programs as:

"The Roadway Worker Memorial Scholarship Program"- The scholarship is awarded to children of workers killed or permanently disabled in work zone accidents. Spouses of fallen workers and parents with custody or legal guardianship of surviving children are also eligible. The scholarship program gives these often forgotten victims an opportunity to continue to meet their educational goals. We are accepting applications through February 15, 2014 for the 2014-2015 school year.

“The National Work Zone Memorial - Respect and Remembrance: Reflections of Life on the Road” program - This traveling memorial recognizes those workers, drivers, passengers, police officers and emergency workers killed in work zone accidents. The memorial also helps educate and informs the public regarding the rising number of work zone related accidents. We are accepting name submissions for the National Work Zone Memorial Wall through December 13, 2013.

Support work zone safety and awareness by ordering Work Zone Ribbons & Lapel Pins for National Work Zone Awareness Week.
