Government Relations
"Providing support to those who make sure 'Safer Roads' isn't just a slogan - but a reality."

ATSSA Member Grier Kirkpatrick (right) of 3M Traffic Safety Systems meets with Rep. John L. Mica (R-Fla.) on Capitol Hill during ATSSA's April 2010 legislative visit event in Washington, D.C.

The ATSSA PAC is a voluntary contribution program designed to build pro-active industry relationships with key congressional leaders and build support for increased roadway safety funding at the federal and state levels. The ATSSA PAC has helped support policy makers in Congress that have fought to increase highway funding, taken transportation trust funds "off-budget" and provided us with the single greatest increase in funding since the inception of the interstate program.

ATSSA Member Pete LeTourneau (left) of Maintenance Coatings Company discusses ATSSA's "Toward Zero Deaths" authorization policy with Rep. Bill Foster (D-Ill.). Over 80 ATSSA members brought key association issues to elected officials on Capitol Hill in April 2010 during their legislative visits.
